Getting to the top of the corporate ladder entails responsibilities and just to be able to get their is not something as easy as doing your groceries. It takes more than just good looks either. You will always hit dead ends somewhere along the way. Many obstacles will derail you from the track towards your desired position. You need to work on things and you need to be smart. You should never have disagreements with the higher management. Even if your point of view is correct, it is just not wise to contradict them at the moment. You need to develop others talents and be able to work as a team effectively. Lastly, you need to be respected. And you must earn it, not force it to your co workers.
