Be a positive force
Show your employers that you are have that “down to the business” approach in your career and potential promotion. If you do not do this, chances are that the spotlight would be focused on someone who is.
The more you prove that you are a valuable asset to the company, the more your superiors will think that you deserve the promotion.
However play things clean and fair. Don’t be envious if someone surpasses you, instead take it as a challenge that you can do it too. Have a good working relationship not only with your superiors but also to your co workers.
